AirOrSeaTravel is an independent guide. Bookings are completed on the provider’s own website. How we are funded.

AirOrSeaTravel — find your way there

Find your way there.

Plan your trip by air, rail, road or sea

Independent travel guides comparing flights, trains, ferries, cruises and car hire on real door-to-door times — then you book direct with the provider.

Searches the 10 guides published on this site. We do not run live fare searches — for prices and availability you continue to a booking provider.

Start here

Flights, hotels, trains, cars, ferries, cruises and tours

Most trips are not one booking. They are a flight, then a train, then a ferry — each bought somewhere different. Start with the leg you are least sure about.

Flights

Compare airlines and agencies, then buy from whoever actually issues the ticket.

Hotels & Stays

Hotels, apartments and hostels — and which site tends to list which.

Trains & Buses

City-centre departures, no check-in queue. Often the fastest door to door.

Car Rentals

Worth it off the rail map. Expensive and awkward in big cities.

Ferries

Island hops and short sea crossings, including cars and foot passengers.

Cruises

Sailings, ports and the transfers that get you to the ship on time.

Tours & Attraction Tickets

Timed entry, skip-the-line tickets and shore excursions.

Event Tickets

Concerts, sport, theatre and comedy — the reason a lot of trips exist.

Route comparisons

Route comparisons: train, plane or rental car?

Real routes, compared on total door-to-door time rather than the number printed on the ticket.

Route facts on this site are checked against the operators and authorities themselves — for example Eurostar’s published check-in times, PortMiami’s own directions page and Port Canaveral’s airport transfer guidance — and every guide lists its sources with the date they were checked.

How it works

How booking works, in three steps

  1. Explore your options

Read how the journey actually works — the realistic timings, the transfers, the things that go wrong. That is the part we do.

  2. Choose a provider

Every button on this site names where it sends you, and opens that company’s own website in a new tab.

  3. Complete your booking there

The provider takes your payment and issues the ticket. Your contract is with them, not with us.

Questions

Common questions

Does AirOrSeaTravel book flights, hotels or cruises?

No. AirOrSeaTravel is a guide, not a travel agency. We take no bookings, no payments and no reservations. Every booking is completed on the provider’s own website, under their terms, and your contract is with them.

Do you show live prices or availability?

No, and we will not invent them. We have no live pricing feed, so any figure we published would be out of date within days. For real prices and availability you continue to a booking provider, whose search is the authoritative one.

How does AirOrSeaTravel make money?

The plan is affiliate commission: a provider pays us a share when a reader books after following a link, at no extra cost to the reader. As of 11 September 2026 no programme has approved the site and no link here earns anything. See the affiliate disclosure for the full list.

I already booked something. Can you help me change it?

We cannot — we have no access to any reservation. Contact whoever charged your card: the airline, hotel, ferry operator, cruise line, or the agency you bought through. Who to contact for each kind of problem.

Are the journey times on this site reliable?

They are approximate and labelled as such. Every guide lists the operator, airport or port authority the figures came from and the date we checked them. Operators change timetables without notice, so confirm anything time-critical on the operator’s own site.

Which travel categories does the site cover?

Seven: flights, hotels and stays, trains and buses, car rentals, ferries, cruises and tours and attraction tickets.

Be clear about what we are

We compare travel — we do not sell it

AirOrSeaTravel is a guide, not a travel agency. We hold no inventory, take no payments, issue no tickets and cannot change or cancel a reservation. Nothing on this site is a quote, a hold, or a confirmation.

When you follow a link from here, you leave this site and deal directly with an airline, a rail operator, a ferry company, a hotel or an online travel agency. Their terms, their prices, their cancellation rules, their customer service.

If you already have a booking and something has gone wrong with it, contact the company that took your money — they are the only ones who can fix it. We keep a short list of who to chase for the common cases.
