Terms of use

The terms on which this website is provided. Last updated .

By using airorseatravel.com you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

1. What this site is

AirOrSeaTravel is an independent editorial website providing general information and opinion about travel. It is not a travel agency, tour operator, ticketing agent or reservation service. We hold no travel agency licence, accreditation or bonding of any kind, and we are not an authorised agent or representative of any airline, rail operator, ferry company, cruise line, hotel, car rental supplier or online travel agency.

2. We do not sell or arrange travel

This site does not take bookings, payments or reservations, does not hold inventory, does not issue tickets or confirmations, and cannot amend or cancel anything you have booked elsewhere. Every booking is made on a third party’s website, and the contract for that booking is between you and them.

3. Information is general and may be out of date

Travel information changes constantly. Timetables are altered, routes are withdrawn, operators change hands, fares move daily and rules on documents and entry requirements change without warning. We research carefully and list our sources with the date we checked them, but:

  • Journey times on this site are approximate and describe typical services, not any particular departure.
  • Nothing here is a quotation, an availability check, a hold or a confirmation.
  • You must verify anything that matters — times, prices, rules, requirements — directly with the operator or provider before relying on it.

The content is provided for general information only. It is not professional, legal, financial, immigration, medical or safety advice.

4. Third-party websites

This site links to websites we do not operate. Those links are provided for convenience and because we think they may be useful. We do not control, endorse or guarantee the content, products, prices, availability, security or privacy practices of any linked site, and we are not responsible for your dealings with them. Read their terms and privacy policy before you transact.

5. Affiliate relationships

We intend to earn affiliate commission from some outbound links. Our current status is set out in full on the affiliate disclosure page, which lists every provider we link to and whether that link pays us. Commission never changes the price you pay.

6. No warranty

This site is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the accuracy, completeness, reliability, timeliness or fitness for any purpose of the content, or that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or from reliance on anything published on it — including missed connections, missed departures, cancelled bookings, additional travel or accommodation costs, or any indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

8. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for checking and complying with the entry, transit, passport, visa, health and insurance requirements that apply to your journey and your nationality. Consult your own government’s official travel advice and the carrier you are travelling with. Requirements differ by nationality and change frequently, and nothing on this site should be treated as authoritative on them.

9. Acceptable use

You may read, print and share this site for personal, non-commercial use. You may not:

  • copy, republish or redistribute substantial parts of the content without permission;
  • scrape or systematically extract the content, including for training a machine learning model, without permission;
  • use the contact form to send unsolicited commercial messages;
  • attempt to interfere with the operation or security of the site.

10. Intellectual property

The written content, page designs and the AirOrSeaTravel name and logo are ours, or used with permission. Photographs are used under the free licences recorded on the photo credits page; their copyright remains with their photographers and your reuse of them must comply with the original licence, not these terms. Third-party names and marks appearing on this site belong to their owners and are used only to identify the company concerned.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.

12. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent through the contact form.

Common questions

Is AirOrSeaTravel responsible if my trip goes wrong?

No. We are an editorial website, not a travel agency, tour operator or ticketing agent. Your contract for any booking is with the company that sold it to you, and they are responsible for delivering it.

Can I rely on the journey times published here?

Treat them as approximate and verify anything time-critical with the operator. Timetables are altered, routes are withdrawn and entry rules change without notice. Each guide lists the sources it used and the date they were checked.

May I republish your guides or use them to train a model?

Not without permission. You may read, print and share pages for personal non-commercial use, but copying substantial parts, systematic scraping and machine-learning training all need our agreement first.

Can I reuse the photographs?

Only under each photograph’s own licence, which is not covered by these terms. Copyright stays with the photographer. The photo credits page lists every image, its author and its licence.

Who checks visa and entry requirements?

You do. Requirements differ by nationality and change frequently, so consult your own government’s official travel advice and the carrier you are travelling with. Nothing on this site is authoritative on them.
