About AirOrSeaTravel
An independent guide to getting from one place to another — by air, rail, road or sea. We are not a travel agency and we do not sell travel.
What this site is for
Most travel sites are built to sell you something, which means they are organised around one product: a flight, or a hotel, or a car. Real journeys are not like that. Getting to a Greek island is a flight, then a bus or a metro, then a ferry. Getting to a cruise ship is a flight, a night in a hotel and a transfer. Each leg is bought from a different company, and nobody is responsible for the joins.
AirOrSeaTravel exists to cover the joins. We write about how a journey actually works — the realistic door-to-door timings, the transfers, the things that reliably go wrong — and then point you to the companies that sell each piece.
What we do not do
- We do not take bookings, payments or reservations, and we never will on this site.
- We do not run live fare searches, and we do not display prices, availability or “deals”. Any number you see on a provider’s site is theirs, not ours.
- We do not hold inventory, issue tickets, or have the ability to change or cancel anything you have booked elsewhere.
- We do not publish reviews of hotels, airlines or tours that we have not actually assessed — which currently means we publish none.
If you have a booking and something has gone wrong with it, the company that took your payment is the only one who can help. Here is who to contact for the common cases.
How the guides get written
Every guide is written for this site. We check journey times, operators and transfer options against primary sources — the operator, the airport, the port authority, the national tourism body — and we list those sources at the foot of each guide with the date we checked them.
Where a figure is approximate, we say so. Where something varies by season, we say that too. We do not claim to have personally taken every journey we describe, because we have not, and inventing that experience would make the rest of the site worth less.

How the site is funded
The intention is to fund AirOrSeaTravel through affiliate commission: when a reader follows a link from here and books something, the provider pays us a share, at no extra cost to the reader.
As of 11 September 2026, no affiliate programme has approved this site and no link on it earns a commission. Every outbound link currently goes to the provider’s ordinary public website. When that changes, the affiliate disclosure page will change with it, and the links themselves will be marked as paid.
Independence
No provider pays for placement here, and no provider has any say in what we write. If we later earn commission from a company, that will not change what a guide says about it — and where we recommend against something, the link to it stays in place so you can check for yourself.
Who runs it
AirOrSeaTravel is independently owned and operated, and published in English for an international readership. It is a small operation rather than a large editorial team, which is why guides are published deliberately and slowly rather than in volume.

Common questions
Is AirOrSeaTravel a travel agency?
No. We hold no travel agency licence, accreditation or bonding, we are not an agent for any airline, operator or hotel, and we cannot sell, change or cancel travel. We publish guides and link to the companies that do.
Who writes the guides?
AirOrSeaTravel is a small independent operation rather than a large editorial team. Every guide is written for this site and checked against primary sources, which are listed with a date at the foot of each one. See the editorial policy.
Do providers pay to be listed?
No. Nobody pays for placement and nobody can. Providers are listed because a traveller might reasonably use them for that kind of journey. Where we think a provider is the wrong choice for a trip, the guide says so.
Do you accept free trips or paid reviews?
No. We publish no reviews of hotels, airlines or tours at all, because we have not assessed them. Inventing firsthand experience would make everything else here worth less.
How can I verify the claims on this site?
Follow the source links. Every route guide lists the operator, airport or port authority page each figure came from, so you can check it yourself rather than taking our word.
